(its been) One Week (since you looked at me)
One week til my 1/2 marathon! weeeeeeeeeee!
I am pretty pumped. Had a solid 5 miler yesterday. Tapering is great. I am ready to do this, just so many days left. So much build up. Probably because it is my first half. Right? I dunno. But either way, it needs to be the 16th already.
2011 Columbus Marathon Spirit Award →
So, the Columbus Marathon gives out an award called the Spirit Award. It is given to people who over come circumstances and run. I am one of the 10 winners this year! So, it is pretty exciting. I get to go to some “VIP” reception. Should be fun. I am hoping it comes with free registration to next years race. We will see, we will see.

So, I just got back from the Virginia Transplant Games and did okay. I was in 9 events and won 9 medals. 5 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze. Breakdown:
5K: Gold 100m: Gold 50m: Gold Softball Throw (yea, its a real event…I guess): Gold 100m swim (seriously, swimming blows): Gold 200m: Silver Discus: Silver Shotput (the 16lb mf’er): Silver 400m: Bronze
